working oasis? That’s where we come in.
Here at Laporta Office Furniture, with over 30 years’ experience of sourcing Italian designer office furniture, we’re no strangers to the home office lifestyle. That’s why we’ve put together 6 simple ways to improve working from home so you can get back onto the productivity bandwagon.
A Home Office Desk
When you’ve got an endless ‘to-do list’ and back-to-back Zoom meetings, the kitchen table just isn’t going to cut it. Studio Voltaire to reopen in October 2021 following completion of a transformative £2.8 million capital project with a William Scott survey exhibition and series of new permanent commissions by artists Anthea Hamilton and Joanne Tatham & Tom O’Sullivan.
Studio Voltaire opens with the first solo exhibition of William Scott (b.1964, San Francisco) outside of the USA – the first significant survey of his 30–year practice. While deeply rooted in personal history, Scott’s paintings address wider questions of citizenship, community and cultural memory.
William Scott, Untitled, 2014
His portraits, predominantly of black figures, encompass African American political leaders, celebrities and pop icons, but also document members of his church, family, and residents of his native San Francisco. Scott’s practice at large reimagines the social topography of this rapidly gentrified city in works that combine architectural design with science fiction.
Scott’s paintings instead propose new utopia..

An update on work to improve Clapham Common by Simon Millson, the Chair of the Clapham Common Management Advisory Committee (CCMAC).
There can be little doubt now that our parks, woodlands and beaches play a crucial role in our health and wellbeing, especially for those who have no access to a garden at home. Green open spaces like Clapham Common have become a major focal point for huge numbers of people to exercise, relax and socialise during this pandemic.
When everything is closed, we still have our Common and it’s free to use. However, this does not come without any costs. Based on last summer’s experience, we know what is going to happen. As lockdown eases and people begin to congregate on the Common, we can expect more litter, double what it would normally be, and a need for more toilets. Anti-social behaviour also rises.
